"Keely is a classic beauty with a very modern spirit," notes Richard Tyler, the Australian-born designer who created both the wedding coat and matching dress the bride wore for the marriage ceremony, and the strapless ivory gown she changed into for the dinner and party.

The gown is made from Italian duchess satin. "This is very soft, very supple, and it's designed to move fantastically," Richard says. Adorned with a cascade of handmade silk roses, the dress "is elegant and simple, yet still playful and part of the fantasy of a bridal dress."

The bride herself agrees. "The party dress is classic, simple, beautiful lines. I think the dress enhances my femininity. It's easy to move in and incredibly beautiful," Keely says.

It was accessorised with baroque pearl earrings and an antique Victorian tiara lent to her by London's Bond Street jewellers Bentley and Skinner.
