The spotlights of Hollywood were far, far away. Instead, Pierce Brosnan and his bride Keely Shaye Smith danced by the light of the full moon with a dramatic 13th-century Irish castle as a stunning backdrop to celebrate their marriage.

Wedding planners worked with the couple for weeks to design the marquee and all that would go inside: a multitude of fragrant flowers, glittering candles, sparkling lights, delectable food and incredible entertainment. The concept, according to Keely, was A Midsummer Night's Dream meets The Secret Garden. The goal: an evening to remember spent among most of the people they know and love best.

After dining on lobster and chicken, the guests watched the bride and groom take to the dance floor for their first dance, accompanied by Irish band the Chieftains. After the dancing, the marquee walls dropped away as the sky burst into colour with a vibrant fireworks display. They were, revealed Pierce, a tribute to the night that he and Keely had first met - when they had watched fireworks together at a charity benefit.
