They came from as far away as Australia and America and the isle of Mustique. They brought tuxedos and elegant evening gowns and their dancing shoes. The 120 close friends and family who attended the August 4 wedding of Pierce and Keely shared an extraordinary celebration of love and togetherness.

In the spirit of togetherness at the abbey, there was no "bride's side" or "groom's side" for guests - everyone and their children mingled together. American Congressman Ed Markey, a colleague in the couple's environmental crusades, sat behind their long-time friend John Paul DeJoria - the creator of the Paul Mitchell hair care products empire.

Friends from the world of entertainment - actress Peta Wilson, directors John Boorman and Roger Donaldson - sat next to cousins and aunts. "The church is overwhelming, the flowers are stunning, but the feeling here among the people who love and admire and support Pierce and Keely… it's bringing tears to my eyes," said the couple's friend Bill Rollnick.
