Tiaras "When [people] look at [tiaras], they think of fairy tales," says one expert. "It's just sort of magical"	It's not just the monarchy who embrace the tiara, a symbol of rank and honour since the Egyptians placed them on mummies. In the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Marilyn Monroe mistook a tiara for a necklace and tried in vain to fit it around her neck. When told the tiara was for her head, she exclaimed: "I just love finding new places to wear diamonds!" And she's not alone. Hollywood royalty Catherine Zeta-Jones wore a 30-carat Fred Leighton-designed piece when she wed Michael Douglas. And Queen Of Pop Madonna wore an Asprey & Garrard crown at her wedding to Guy Ritchie. "When they look at [tiaras], they think of fairy tales," says one expert.
