Ally McBeal star and Tony Award nominee
Calista Flockhart is scheduled for a West End appearance in an American classic next
summer

The upcoming season

"From what I can see, there seems to be a more supportive environment in London," says Brendan Fraser, "It would fulfil an aspiration of mine, from when I was a little kid… It's the Mecca of acting." Come autumn, the Mummy heart-throb will make his dream come true when he stars in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. And he's not the only Hollywood heavyweight booking a flight on the Concorde.

Producer Bill Kenwright, the man behind Jessica Lange's last two West End outings, is in talks with ER hunk George Clooney about a possible London production. Charlie's Angels pin-up Farrah Fawcett may appear in the American play The Adjustment if all goes as planned.

Tony nominee Calista Flockhart, whose scheduled appearance in The Philadelphia Story earlier this year was derailed by the foot and mouth outbreak amongst other things, is now set to appear next summer in a classic American play. And Nicole Kidman, who took The Blue Room to Broadway following a sold-out London run, may be returning to the West End in Ibsen's The Lady From The Sea.
