For celebrity status
There’s nothing modest about Parrot Cay, the private island in the Caribbean’s Turks and
Caicos where Julia Roberts, Bruce Willis, Matt Damon, Paul and Heather McCartney, Liam
Neeson and Geri Halliwell have all sought spiritual and physical renewal.
Set on a hill, the Shambala Spa features treatments such as marine algae therapy, Balinese spice body massage, yoga and reiki, reflexology, acupuncture and shiatsu, as well as Pilates. Ayurvedic therapies have also recently been introduced.
Created by Christine Ong who owns London’s Metropolitan Hotel, the resort specialises in chic escapism – luxury suites or beach villas come with private pool and butler. Sightseeing, island-hopping, watersports and golf
are available at the click of a finger. Not cheap – but neither is the clientele.
