Back in its Sixties heyday, the Mediterranean resort of St Tropez was synonymous with A-list glamour. And the picturesque harbour town is still reeling in the stars, with a series of big names being spotted there over the past few days.
Kill Bill's leading lady Uma Thurman was pictured canoodling with new beau Andre Balazs. The happy couple, intent on spending some serious quality time together, jetted in to the French Riviera just a few days after another break in the Turkish town of Bodrum.
Veteran actress Joan Collins has also been seen, keeping her cool under an elegant sun hat. The 70-year-old, who is a regular visitor to St Tropez, says that avoiding exposure to the sun is the secret to her youthful appearance.
Down on the beach, meanwhile, Formula One ace Jenson Button enjoyed a stroll with girlfriend Louise Griffiths. And hip-hop impresario P Diddy was keeping sales assistants in a designer boutique busy, as he went in search of some new acquisitions for his stylish wardrobe.
Quite a few years have passed since Brigitte Bardot's movie And God Created Woman helped transform St Tropez into a jet set haven. But given the quantity of glamorous personalities who continue to flock to its sun-drenched shores, the exclusive resort seems to have lost none of its allure.
