'KINGDOM OF HEAVEN' - Spain
Orlando Bloom enjoyed a sojourn in some of Iberia's most beautiful towns when he teamed up with Ridley Scott on the epic Kingdom Of Heaven. Although the movie is set in Jerusalem, it was almost entirely made in Spain.

The spectacular Loarre Castle in Aragon provided the backdrop for much of the filming. Located just a stone’s-throw from the Pyrenees, the Romanesque fortress provided all the awe-inspiring majesty required by the flick. Of course, the filmmaker also took the liberty of building a medieval village alongside the castle to give the impression of a thriving ancient city.

The production also took Orlando and the rest of the crew to Segovia, just outside Madrid, which is considered one of the country's most beautiful destinations. The city's spectacular fortress – which served as the model for Disney’s fairytale castle – is breathtaking, especially when lit up at night. Small wonder the United Nations has deemed Segovia a World Heritage site.

No less impressive is the southern metropolis of Seville, which also played host to Señor Bloom and his colleagues. One of Europe's most historically fascinating locations, Seville has seen a succession of invaders come and go over the centuries. Its turbulent past has left it with a wealth of beautiful buildings unequalled anywhere else in Europe.
