Board games, France
Fancy trying your hand at something new
this year? Then give snowboarding a go.
Best described as skateboarding on snow, it
comes with a culture, clothing and language
all of its own and is said to be easy to pick
up. It’s also perfect for streamlining waists,
hips and thighs!
The French resort of Tignes has slopes
galore for beginners, as well as more
challenging runs for advanced boarders.
Stay at cosy converted farmhouse Chalet
Trafalgar, just a stone’s throw from the
slopes, where you can share your thrills and
spills with up to 11 other holidaymakers.
If you don’t fall in love with the sport after
three days of lessons, one tour operator is
offering an £80 refund on the tuition fee.
And if you do ask for your money back,
nearby Tignes Les Brevieres has plenty of
bars and boutiques in which to spend it.
