The return from Down Under for a special day

09 MAY 2012

Gemma Diana Horne and Michael David Amson travelled from Melbourne, Australia, the couple's current home, to the UK for their wedding. And they were lucky enough to have 30 degrees heat throughout the day.

The couple married on 1st October 2011 at Lane End Church, Buckinghamshire with the reception at The Compleat Angler Marlow.

The bride wore a beautiful strapless dress with traditional veil. Her elegant bouquet was decorated with white roses, and the diamonds on her dress dazzled in the sunlight. The bridesmaids, in shamrock green, stunned guests and the flower girls and page boy were in Gemma's words "just too cute to be true"!

After the ceremony, the wedding party posed for shots with stunning views at the waterfront. The bride and groom then travelled down the river on The Jolly Boat, waving onlookers on the riverbanks whilst their guests were drinking champagne on the lawns.

The reception was full of entertainment with the first dance involving a rendition of the Cadbury's advert.  The couple surprised guests with a choreographed dance with lifts and even some Cadbury's chocolate thrown into the audience.

Gemma said of her special day: "It was a thoroughly entertaining and fantastic day."
