Hayley Bevin and Tom Dixie's rustic country wedding

A rustic Norfolk wedding, planned by event makers Hayley and Tom themselves Love in the office blossomed for HELLO! Online readers, Hayley Bevin and Tom Dixie, who worked at an events company in London. After three weeks together, they moved in, and four and a half years later, were married.

The beautiful couple decided to uproot their London life and move to Norfolk to set up their own events business. Tom chose a special place to propose —the beach where he and Hayley walk their dog Rubble every day, come rain, hail, steel, snow or shine. On one knee and the dog running madly around him, Tom popped the question and almost half fell over from Rubble running circles. Hayley said an ecstatic "yes" and the planning began. Having worked on so many weddings in their careers, event makers Hayley and Tom sought anything and everything they had never seen before to make their day truly incomparable. The bride Hayley's bespoke dress was designed and created by Paula of Camilla Brides. The meticulous and prepared bride came up with a mood board of about 30 dresses she liked, and Paula was instrumental in decision-making. Paula and the team took an element from each dress to create Hayley's dream gown. As she wanted a vintage classic look, Hayley's dress was simple and elegant. Strapless and fitted around her waist, the dress flutters out and was matched with a long veil clipped to her hair.

"I have always loved the vintage style, so I kept my make-up, hair and jewellery as classic and vintage as possible," she said. "My make-up artist specialises in vintage style make up and my jewellery was from my grandmother. I left my hair slightly scruffy as I'd seen some vintage photos like that." Hayley jazzed up her classic gown with bright pink shoes that were studded with the phrase "I do" on the heels. She had five bridesmaids, three of which were her sisters. "They all looked beautiful in Monsoon vintage style light coral dresses. We did a shopping trip to London which was a fun day out and ended with buckets of champagne," she said.

The ceremony Hayley and Tom were married in their local church, Stody Church, just down the road from her parents' house where the reception was held. "The church is just beautiful and we were welcomed so much by the Vicar and congregation so it was our only choice," said Hayley. Tom's best moment of the day was seeing Hayley walk into the church. "My heart stopped and I welled up very quickly," he said. "I walked up the aisle and the second I stood next to Tom, I grabbed his hand and don’t think I let go all day," said Hayley.

"We knew from the start we wanted a local, family friendly wedding," she said. The couple had just under 100 guests, intimate enough to do the rounds and chat with everyone. "A lot of my friends have babies and children so the family atmosphere was incredible!" she said. "Everyone we wanted was at our wedding, from our close friends we left behind in London to our new friends in Norfolk. We were both so happy and touched by all the people who made the trip for our special day." The reception As Hayley's parents live just down the road from the church, the reception was held in their picturesque farm house, Mount Farm Barn, which also functions as a luxury boutique bed and breakfast. "I got married in my parents' garden," she said. "The setting is amazing and the views are to die for. It was the only place really!" When preparing for the reception, Hayley and Tom involved everyone they knew in the industry, who have become their close friends. The couple planned, set up, arranged and ran their own wedding, in essence. "Every tiny detail was perfect, if I do say so myself," laughed Hayley.

The best man, "Tom 2", was amazing, said Hayley. "He had to deal with broken down cars on the wedding day and went to the Covent Garden flower market at four in the morning to pick up our flowers," she said. "His speech was outstanding funny, caring and made us all laugh and cry!" The couple's first dance was to New York, New York, a modern take on the song. They had special dance classes and incorporated fun, fast moves into the dance to really wow their friends and family. "We managed not to tell anyone about our first dance so as soon as we begun, we got the reaction we had hoped for." she said. "It was just so much fun. I want to do it all again!"

The food was prepared by an incredible chef who works freelance for Hayley and Tom's business and also runs his own restaurant in London. The couple had delicious canapés like mini burgers, followed by a chicken course with Hayley's favourite hollandaise sauce and a selection of 6 different deserts and sweets table. Chris Taylor Photo captured the happy couple's day.
