Becky Bowyer and Adam Tubb's hippy beach wedding in Ibiza

It all started with a kiss for HELLO! Online readers Becky Bowyer and Adam Tubb, who met while Adam played for his league football club and Becky was a spectator. She would cheer on her team and was soon won over by Adam's cheeky charms. From their very first kiss, the pair were inseparable.

Three years into their relationship, Becky and Adam flew to New York and the proposal couldn't have been more romantic. Following breakfast at Tiffany's, the couple drove around Central Park in a horse and carriage and Adam got down on one knee and popped the question.

That evening, they celebrated in true New York style with champagne at Nobu, and plans for the wedding began.

The bride

She achieved just this with a stunning Amanda Wakeley dress from the Morocco collection. The gown was embellished with cord embroidery, and Becky added silk buttons to the open, fitted back. She looked the perfect image of a beach bride.

As a fashion stylist, Becky made sure elegance came first when choosing her dress, make-up and jewellery. "I wanted the look to be timeless and vintage enough to have that Marilyn Monroe sexiness, and yet cool enough to suit the beach cove venue," said Becky.

Her Chanel pearl earrings were a gift from her groom which added a special touch. "My bridesmaid treated me to a Laura Lee Rose gold coin necklace engraved with my initial 'B' — it was perfect, so simple and elegant," she said.

With her hair down in natural loose waves, the bride wore one single white orchid behind her ear as she said her vows in front of her 50 close friends and family. Unlike a lot of brides, Becky chose to do her own make-up after collecting tips from photoshoots at work.

She pulled it off by opting for natural brown and gold tones for her eyes and touching up her lips with a Laura Mercier coral lipstick. A perfect look for a warm wedding on a Spanish beach.

"I felt like a movie star," said Becky.

The ceremony and reception

"As Adam and I love to travel, it seemed the obvious choice to get hitched abroad," said Becky. "We fell in love with Ibiza — its small, charming island with stunning beaches, breathtaking sunsets and hip bars. "Swanky beach clubs like The Blue Marlin and world famous sunset at Café Mambo set the scene for Becky's hen party, while Adam's stag do of over 20 men in fancy dress hit the island's West End.

Nicknamed the "Cove of Dreams", the Amante Beach Club in Santa Eulalia was the setting for Becky and Adam's beach wedding. "It was a hugely romantic, slightly hippy wedding," said Becky. She and Adam recited their vows by the sea as their guests looked on at their special moment. "I remember standing there willing our Officiator to say the words 'your are now husband and wife and best friends for life' so we could kiss," said Becky.

Becky's sister Hayley and Adam's daughter Mia read heartfelt statements about love, and after the couple kissed, Somewhere over the Rainbow/Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwoole played.Family and friends showered the newlyweds with rose petals as they walked down the aisle, basking in the sound of the sea. The wedding party moved on for the reception, where the venue was draped in white orchids to match Becky's cascading bouquet.Paying homage to New York and the special place they got engaged, the wedding cake was made up of New York style mini cheesecakes.

The newlyweds danced to their first song — an acoustic version of Use Somebody by Kings of Leon which was performed by a live band that the couple had specifically flown in from the UK. The guests soon joined them on the dance floor and the party rocked out the beach cove until the early hours of the morning. But the best part of all came at the end of the evening. "Adam and I took a moment outside by the sea together looking up at the clear black sky to both see a shooting star fly straight across the cove," she said. "It was amazing. We felt truly blessed.""It's been like living in our own little romantic movie," she said.
