• 'Downton Abbey''s Lady Mary poses with baby George

    It won't reach UK screens until the Autumn, but excitement about the new series of Downton Abbey has already begun. A still from the hit period drama showing Michelle Dockery's character, Lady Mary Crawley, cradling her newborn son George has sparked anticipation in fans about what series four will bring. Reports suggest that as well as baby George, six other characters will join the Downton cast. Lady Mary's husband Matthew Crawley, who died in a car accident at the end of 2012's Christmas episode, will be notably absent.   • Queen Elizabeth II admitted to hospital with gastroenteritis

    The Queen has been admitted to hospital for the first time in 10 years after being diagnosed with gastroenteritis. A spokesperson for the royal family said the 86-year-old was taken by car to King Edward VII Hospital in London, the same hospital that treated the Duchess of Cambridge in December. All of the monarch's upcoming engagements, including her trip to Rome with The Duke of Edinburgh, have been cancelled and some will be rescheduled when the stomach inflammation is gone and she is back to full health.   The Queen is expected to spend around two days in hospital.
