• Designs fit for the Queen: Couture By Royal Appointment

Couturiers to the Queen, Norman Hartnell, Hardy Amies and Frederick Fox, are celebrated in an exhibition called Hartnell to Amies: Couture By Royal Appointment  that opens on Friday in the Fashion and Textile Museum. Exploring the impact that the Queen's patronage has had on British couture in the 20th century, the collection on display includes creations worn by the Queen herself. So brides-to-be will have little further to go than our home capital of London for regal wedding day inspiration and timeless, royal elegance.   CLICK ON PHOTOS FOR FULL GALLERY Glamourous and romantic eveningwear was key to the well-known fashions of the 1950s and 1960s and no-one showed
