The cost of the monarchy to the public reached £35.7million in the last tax year, Buckingham Palace accounts have revealed. The Queen's official expenditure from the sovereign grant – the system of finance given from the public purse to support the monarchy – shows a rise of £1.9million from the previous year. Charlotte Casiraghi and Gad Elmaleh have had their baby son Raphäel baptised. The religious ceremony took place in the royal chapel of Monaco's palace on Sunday 22 June, according to Paris Match. Charlotte, 27, and her French comedian boyfriend, 43, were joined by members of the Monegasque royal family and Gad's nearest and dearest. King Felipe VI of Spain was supported by his beautiful wife Queen Letizia as he took part in a military ceremony on Wednesday.
