Prime Minister David Cameron will meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace on Monday, marking the official start of the election campaign. In a ritual steeped in tradition, Mr Cameron will ask the Queen for permission to dissolve Parliament ahead of the General Election on 7 May. Once permission has been granted, the Queen will sign and seal paperwork that leads to the dissolution. Prince William has completed his first day of training at Bond Air Services as he prepares to start work as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance. The 32-year-old is undertaking extra job-specific training with the company before he begins his new job in the summer. Over the coming months William will undertake on the job training which involves time in a simulator, aircraft and testing in-flight skills before he begins piloting ambulance missions. William's training comes just four weeks after it was announced that he had passed the exams which he needed to qualify as an air ambulance pilot.

Just days after taking a spin around the gardens of Clarence House in a tuk tuk, the royal couple laughed up a storm as they watched a sheep race. Normally ones to take racing very seriously, this event had Charles and Camilla in stitches of laughter while watching Herdwick sheep jump over hurdles and make a mad dash around a specially built course for the Prince's Countryside Fund Raceday.
