It's usually after the wedding that it's customary for the bride and groom to jet off.
But Amy Brown and Richard Packe decided to break the tradition in spectacular style by jetting around in the middle of the celebrations.
After a moving ceremony at Ettington Church in Warwickshire, the couple rushed off to the reception not via normal ground transport but by a great white helicopter.
Having fallen in love four years previously – following some matchmaking by bridesmaid Claire – the pair moved to Scotland so Amy could pursue her career as a helicopter pilot.
That's why they decided to incorporate the theme into their big day, touching down at the reception venue as friends and family enjoyed champagne and canapes.
With photos taken and sumptuous food and wine consumed, there was only one thing left to do – dance and dance until the next morning.
After that, it was time for the couple to jet off again – this time for a luxury honeymoon in Mauritius.
Amy and Richard wanted to thank everybody, and particularly their parents, for making their day so wonderful.
