Stunning display of delicate elegance from Paris' couture brides

A dreamlike garden theme was the perfect setting for a glimpse of designer bridal gowns for next spring/summer at Paris' haute couture shows this week.

Pastel tones and intricate white wedding dresses flooded the catwalks, with structured bustiers, asymmetric hemlines and swathes of light, airy, bright silk.

Lebanese bridal designer Elie Saab's show notes read: "This season, Elie Saab pays homage to fragile elegance."
And that is precisely what he achieved when with an innovative twist his model stepped out on the runway in a glittering silk cloud.

Following the success of the baby pink custom-made gown Giambattista Valli designed for Jessica Beil's wedding to actor and singer, Justin Timberlake, the designer's collection this year entailed princess gowns in the prettiest of pastels.

Christian Dior produced breathtaking bridal accessories with delicate veils covering expressive makeup, whilst former Balenciaga designer, Stephane Rolland, perfected the art of showstopping structural couture.
