Wedding trainers have become a must-have in recent years, with searches for personalised trainers at an all-time high with a 61 per cent increase year-on-year. And now brides and grooms can say 'I do' in style and comfort with the launch of Converse's new Wedding Sneakers line – and they can even be customised with special details.

The Converse wedding sneaks can be purchased for the bride or for the groom, with MRS and MR styles available. You can select from lace, white leather, black leather or even blue leather for your 'something blue' on your special day.

You can even choose the colour of the tongue, so you could have white leather with a blue leather tongue. The heel stripe at the back can also be customised and you can choose from white or black stitching - same with the lining inside.

One of my favourite customisations has to be the laces, you can choose from a bridal ribbon, your typical Converse laces in black or white OR rainbow laces. A great addition to a same-sex wedding, don't you think? Eyelets can be white, gold, silver or black. The midsole text can be either 'I Do', 'Mrs' or 'Mr'.

Another favourite part? You can get 'Just Married' on the bottom of the shoe as well. You could also get your new married initials printed on the heel stripe at the back.

Converse just married wedding trainers

If you're looking for something a little more individual, this Etsy seller could be just what you're looking for. You can personalise with text that could be anything from you new marital name to the words 'I do'. The crystals could be perfect if you're not wanting to sacrifice on the sparkle.

If the Converse line doesn't take your fancy, you're bound to love Kate Spade's Trista sneaker, featuring glittery plimsolls that will look just as good with your jeans as they do under your wedding dress.

Justin Bieber's wife Hailey Bieber was lucky enough to have her own custom-designed Vera Wang wedding trainers to complement her wedding dress at the couple's reception in September 2018, but we think a pair of customised Nike bridal trainers would do the job just as well.

Which pair will you say 'I do' to?
