It will be a scene that many royal fans remember, watching the Duchess of Cambridge walk down the aisle surrounded by lush green foliage. The 2011 royal wedding was one of the most influential of the 21st century, so it's no surprise that tennis royalty Andy Murray and Kim Sears have opted for the same decor, as on Friday, Dunblane Cathedral was filled with trees ready in preparation for the big day.

The trees were wheeled into the Scottish cathedral, in the city of Dunblane where Andy grew up, ahead of Saturday afternoon's nuptials.

Inside the cathedral, the trees were carefully positioned at the end of every other pew, similar to Westminster Abbey, where William and Kate were wed.

Since Andy and Kim announced that they would say 'I Do', the small town of Dunblane has been gearing up for the special day. Local businesses have been placing well-wishes in their shop windows, while there are plans in place to allow fans to line the streets as the wedding party arrive.

Bride-to-be Kim has been going out with Andy for almost ten years, after meeting him in 2005 at a party for the US Open.

Messages of love and support in shop windows throughout Dunblane

Speaking exclusively to HELLO! Online, one excited family member, Andy's grandmother Shirley Erskine, has gone as far as to say that the pretty painter is "the best thing that's ever happened" to Andy.

"The whole family has taken to Kim," said Shirley, 81, whose daughter is Andy's mum Judy Murray. "She's very attractive, very artistic and so supportive."

Andy also previously admitted that the wedding won't be a star-studded event, saying: "There won't be any celebrities as such. I don't have any celebrity friends so it wasn't something that was planned", before revealing that British tennis star Tim Henman is the only guest of celebrity status that will be sharing the happy couple's special day.
