Twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen shared the honours with Sean 'Diddy' Combs at a glitzy fashion awards ceremony in New York. The teenage style icons, who made their TV debut aged nine months, were on hand to pick up an ACE award at the Accessories Council gala.
For the star-studded do, Ashley had selected an elegant black gown with a plunging neckline, while her sibling looked stunning in a Grecian-style sheath. Meanwhile, Diddy had pal Naomi Campbell in stitches as they pair posed with his Fashion Influencer award. The Dukes Of Hazzard actress Jessica Simpson was also among the winners, taking home the Fashion Icon gong while Oscar de la Renta was named designer of the year.
But the night definitely belonged to the 19-year-old twins, who have built up a billion-dollar fashion business after a career as child actresses. Followers of their boho-chic look have been lapping up their designs since the siblings launched their own line in 2001.
And the sisters, who combine the running of their company Dualstar with studying at New York University, have no intention of sitting back and enjoying their success. Plans are being drawn up to extend the enterprise's reach into brand management, and home and beauty products.
"We're getting older," said Mary-Kate. "We have more things to say. We want to accomplish more things."
