Popular US comedian Tim Allen kicked off what is set to be a non-stop few months of celebrity wedding celebrations after he walked down the aisle with actress Jane Hadjuk last weekend. Jefferson Hack, Johnny Depp and Michael Flatley are among the other stars due to take the plunge in the near future.
The star of the long-running American series Home Improvement wed his 39-year-old actress girlfriend in Colorado in front of close family, said his spokeswoman. Marriage is not Tim and Jane's first joint project, however. The newlyweds recently worked together on adventure movie Zoom and The Shaggy Dog.
Another soon-to-be-wed pair whose relationship has also featured a work element are Lord Of The Dance star Michael Flatley, 47, and dancer Niamh O'Brien, 32. They met 13 years ago on the set of his Irish dance show, but only became romantically involved in May. Multi-millionaire Michael, who split with fiancée Lisa Murphy at the end of last year, proposed within just a few weeks of dating Niamh. "She's the most beautiful girl in the world, inside and out," he enthuses. "She is exactly what I was hoping my wife would be." They are to tie the knot on Saturday in a low-key ceremony in County Cork.
Meanwhile, magazine publisher Jefferson Hack is finally set to marry his model love. Not Kate Moss, the mother of his daughter Lila Grace, however, but Belgian catwalk beauty Anouck Lepere, 24.
Kate's other former flame, Johnny Depp, is also looking to formalise his long-term relationship with French singer and actress Vanessa Paradis. The lens-friendly duo, who have two children - Lily-Rose and Jack - are said to be planning a small, private ceremony at their £1.5-million family home in Plan de la Tour in the South of France next summer.
The occasion will no doubt be the icing on the cake for the happy couple. "Johnny is all I dreamed of," says Vanessa. "No one could love the way we love. He's a beautiful person."
