West End knees-up as 'Enders' crew celebrates Samantha's wedding

The cast of EastEnders was celebrating this week when they gathered in a West End hotel to toast the marriage of Samantha Janus and Mark Womack, her long-term partner and father of the couple's two children.

A host of familiar faces from the soap were enjoying a fun night out at a reception in Claridge's Hotel following the nuptials. None more so than Walford bad girls Shona McGarty - who plays Whitney Dean - and Rita Simons, aka Roxy Mitchell. Something certainly tickled the pair, who couldn't stop laughing as they left the venue in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

John Altman - the man behind the soap's 'Nasty' Nick Cotton - was in a playful mood, grabbing the Birkin bag of his on-screen mum June Brown, who portrays laundrette worker Dot Cotton, and showing it off to snappers while she feigned disdain.

His co-star's nuptials were an important event for Steve McFadden, as it was the first time he'd attended a formal affair with his partner Dr Rachel Green. The physician, who is expecting Steve's baby in July, reportedly left her husband to move in with the actor, who lived just ten minutes away.

Other stars from the series sharing in the happy event included soap matriarch Barbara Windsor and scheming on-screen wife Jo Joyner, pretty in a pink, flower-motif summer dress.
