Demi Moore may fly over to support Susan Boyle in 'Britain's Got Talent' final

The Hollywood actress was invited - via Twitter - to the Britain's Got Talent grand final by judge Amanda Holden, who said Simon Cowell would provide first class plane tickets and a night in the Dorchester hotel. "Generous offer! Thank you! And thank Simon! When are the finals?" responded the US actress

When Demi Moore flagged up Susan Boyle's Britain's Got Talent audition on Twitter, the message turned millions of US fans on to the Scottish singing sensation. Now the Hollywood actress – who said she was moved to tears by Susan's initial performance – is considering jetting over to Britain to support her in the show's final.

And once again it's all due to Twitter. Amanda Holden extended the invitation via the social networking tool, offering first class plane tickets and a night at the Dorchester hotel to tempt the actress.

She wrote on Tuesday night: "B.G.T final is on the 30th, I'll speak to Simon - am sure he will let you borrow his plane x."

She then updated her intiial post, saying: "Message for Demi! Please someone get this to her as I am still rubbish at twittering. Simon says yes! But to first class tickets!"

Demi then replied: "What no private plane? Generous offer! Thank you! And thank Simon! When are the finals?"

To which Amanda added: "Fabulous, the final is this Saturday, we'll put you up in Dorchester and roll out the red carpet!"

Meanwhile Smile Singer Lily Allen this week joined the list of famous faces being drawn into comment over Susan. "She can sing, but it's not about talent with her, is it?" says Lily "She seems like a lovely lady but, if the show is about talent, then that Shaheen kid should win."

Lily's favourite, 12-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi, made it through to the final on Tuesday. And there was shock when Greek father-and-son comedy dance act Stavros Flatley triumphed in the viewer vote, and became the first act to go through on the night.

So what's the story with Twitter…? In case you haven't already discovered it, Twitter is a free social networking service which enables users to send and read other users' messages. These 'tweets' are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have subscribed to them. Since it launched in 2006, the service has become a hit with celebs.
