Attending a London fashion bash with the likes of model Jade Parfitt and glam singers Sophie Ellis Bextor and Katy Perry could be quite a daunting prospect for the average 53-year-old grandmother. But then Jo Wood is anything but average.
Ronnie Wood's estranged wife was at the forefront of a new generation of rock chicks this week as she attended at a party to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lulu Guinness' fashion label. The glamorous blonde, a former model once dubbed the face of the Seventies, showed them how it's done in a pair of tight, leather-effect leggings, white shirt and satin 'boyfriend' blazer teamed with high peep toes in this season's hottest shade, nude.
Having recently become a grandmother for the sixth time Jo says she's had a new lease of life since separating from Rolling Stones musician Ronnie last autumn and is enjoying being single. Judging by her appearance this week the change in circumstances has its silver lining.
At the Victoria And Albert Museum bash Jo joined guest of honour Lulu Guinness, who stole the spotlight in a quirky violet satin dress with peaked shoulders and emblazoned with a pair of eyes. The designer completed the look with a red lips-shaped clutch, which she toted at her midriff to turn the ensemble into a face.
Standout skirts were a key look at the party, with American singer Katy opting for a vibrant orange one with a floral print top and Sophie choosing a blue satin number teamed with a black shirt with sheer sleeves.
