'Talent' judges toast their success on a day of fun and frivolity at Ascot

With the red wine flowing, cigars in hand and plenty of attractive female friends to share the moment with, the Britain's Got Talent crew certainly know how to celebrate the show's phenomenal success.

Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan hired out a private box on the second day of Ascot and filled it with a bevy of gorgeous ladies. The two friends have every reason to congratulate themselves.

This year's series of the talent show was one of the most closely followed due to Susan Boyle's overnight rise to worldwide fame.

Sharing their high-spirited day at the races were two former girlfriends of the TV empresario, Sinitta and Jackie St Clair, plus Piers' columnist love Celia Walden and The One Show presenter Christine Bleakley.

The merry group was also joined by Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Toniolo. Perhaps mindful of the need to hold her own in such company, Jackie wore an eye-catching combination of an oversized poppy-shaped titfer and royal blue puffball mini.

Another face from Strictly soaking up the atmosphere at the famous course was Bruce Forsyth, who entertained his fans by striking his trademark circus strong-man pose.

The popular TV host, on hand to present a trophy, summed up the appeal of Ascot, saying: "There’s no other race meeting quite like it. It’s really British, through and through.”

And nothing could have been more quintessentially British than the sight of the heir to the throne arriving for the Prince of Wales stakes in morning suit and top hat, with his wife the Duchess of Cornwall, elegant in a rose pink coat dress and hat by his side.

Camilla looked on, her face filled with mirth, as her husband Charles joked with jockey Wille Carson, making as if to poke him with his umbrella.
