She's usually spotted in soft pinks or gleaming whites, so this week's sartorial choice was a bit of a break from the norm for Elizabeth Hurley.

To attend a charity event in London, the actress and model opted for a dazzling satin gown in a gorgeous turquoise hue.

A look at the back of the one-shoulder number also revealed a daring cutaway section.

This was another departure from her usual style given her penchant is usually to go for drama in the front with a low-neckline.

The mum-of-one and her husband Arun Nayer stepped out to support the launch of an initiative to raise £7 million for a new Great Ormand Street Hospital centre.

Elizabeth's good friend Elton John – in the news recently over his comments he would like to adopt a Ukrainian Orphan - was also at the bash.

Other attendees included Emma Bunton – glam in a low-cut red dress and towering stilettos - and her partner Jade Jones. The couple were spotted catching up with Tana and Gordon Ramsay.

And the day after rolling back the years by stepping out in her 2002 Oscars dress, Geri Halliwell was out again.

But unlike Wednesday night's solo outing, the former Spice Girl brought along her dashing financier beau Henry Beckwith.
