Madonna enjoys romantic dinner with Jesus Luz after meeting his mum

While they're on his home turf, Jesus Luz seems keen to show Madonna all the best places.

The day after the Brazilian model took his pop star love to celeb hangout Sushi Leblon, the couple were spotted leaving Yumi - another of Rio de Janiero's upmarket Japanese restaurants.

This week has marked a turning point in their relationship, after the Material Girl reportedly met her model boyfriend's 37-year-old mother for the first time.

The 51-year-old had apparently felt "on edge" about coming face to face with Cristiane Reginada after arriving in the country by private jet.

But the meeting is believed to have been a success, with the women spending two hours chatting at a hotel on Tuesday.

Madonna's sunny demeanour was evident as the lovers made their way to their vehicle after dining together.

With her new relationship going from strength to strength, her new adopted daughter Mercy settled in, and a new high profile deal with D&G on the table, she's clearly in a good place right now.

During her stay Madonna is also expected to meet Jesus's hospital worker father, Luis Heitor Pinto da Luz, and to explore the opportunity for charity projects she can collaborate on.
