Stars make anticipated entrance as Celebrity Big Brother airs for last time

It's back - on Sunday evening Celebrity Big Brother returned for the very last time.

And before they had even entered the house, some of its stars had been busy making headlines.

Among those taking part in the show – which will run for the next 26 days – are rumoured rivals Alex Reid and Dane Bowers.

It had been reported that Katie Price's cage fighter boyfriend was involved in a scuffle with her musician ex Dane at the model's New Year's Eve bash. So all eyes were on them as they greeted one another in the house.

But the two men shared a hug, and earlier both categorically denied an argument to host Davina McCall.

Despite sporting a black eye covered in makeup, Another Level star Dane, 30, told the presenter: "I'm sorry to disappoint you, but we get on OK… So what you read isn’t true, as interesting as it sounds."

His account was backed up by Alex, 34, who said: "I wasn’t even aware there was a fight until afterwards."

With news on which celebs were taking part in the programme kept secret, fans were keen to see exactly who would be entertaining the public over the next four weeks.

And they weren't disappointed.

Footballer-turned-film star Vinnie Jones, who is already the bookies favourite, is one of the contestants, alongside Ronnie Wood's 21-year-old ex Ekaterina Ivanova.

Born again Christian actor Stephen Baldwin, Coronation Street star Stephanie Beacham and Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss have also entered the house – this year themed 'Hell lies in others'.

And completing the group are Sweden-born musician Jonas Altberg – best known as Basshunter – R&B singer Sisqo, glamour model Nicola T and UK grime act Lady Sovereign
