Johnny Depp was in Serbia on Tuesday to unveil a statue of himself at a film festival organised by a director friend.
And if the Pirates of the Caribbean star had any doubts about the model's likeness, he certainly didn’t show them as he posed at the opening ceremony for the Third International Kustendorf Film And Music Festival.
The statue represents Johnny’s character in the film Arizona Dream, which he made with festival organiser Emir Kusturica in 1993.
The double Palme d’Or winning filmmaker, who’s set to reunite with Johnny and Salma Hayek for his next flick, also presented the star with an award at the ceremony.
As guest of honour, Johnny was given the full VIP treatment during his Serbia visit.
Upon arriving in the capital Belgrade, he met president Boris Tadic, before being flown to the festival in the remote mountain village of Drvengrad by helicopter.
During his three-day stay, guest-of-honour Johnny will lead workshops for young filmmakers, watch movies and visit locations for his and Emir’s forthcoming project.
