Breast cancer survivior Kylie Minogue turns cover girl for new awareness campaign Having successfully fought breast cancer five yeas ago, Kylie Minogue inspires many women who continue to battle the disease. 

The pop star has now stepped into the spotlight to help raise awareness about the illness by fronting a new charity campaign.

Snapped by renowned photographer Mario Testino, the 41-year-old Australian singer is pictured wearing nothing but a silk sheet - emblazoned with the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer 'target' logo – and a big smile.

Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer during her Showgirl world tour in 2005.

Forced to miss a number of engagement while undergoing treatment, she sent a defiant message when unable to attend a cancer charity ball that said: "I am a cancer patient. I aim to be a cancer survivor."

She was eventually given the all-clear, and went on to resume her tour in November 2006.

Kylie is not the only famous face using her star power to help promote the worthy cause.

Pregnant model Claudia Schiffer and actress Sienna Miller also appear in the campaign. The charity which has raised more than £10.5 million since its UK launch in 1996.

Speaking about her participation, Kylie said: "It means so much to me to be part of this year's campaign for Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. I wholeheartedly support their efforts to raise funds for the vital work undertaken by Breakthrough Breast Cancer."
