Her short skirts on the first episode of Doctor Who caused something of a stir. And Scottish actress Karen Gillan's long legs were once again on display this week at a party to celebrate UK talent in the US.
The auburn-haired beauty – a relative newcomer to the scene – joined more established stars at the invite-only reception in LA.
Among them were Cat Deeley, who has had huge success across the pond presenting So You Think You Can Dance, and Oscar winner Helen Mirren.
The veteran actress lauded the British for being "cool and hip" at the event, and complained that her nationality are often cast as the baddies in films.
"I think it's rather unfortunate that the villain in every movie is always British, we're such an easy target that they can comfortably make the Brits the villains," she said.
Also at the event was London-born Dancing With The Stars contestant Kelly Osbourne and her model fiancé Luke Worrall.
The 25-year-old showed off the svelte new figure which has come as a result of taking part in the show in a demure cream dress.
