After both going for gorgeous grey at the film's photocall, Iron Man 2 stars Gwyneth Paltrow and Scarlett Johansson were on similar pages of the fashion book again for the blockbuster's Hollywood premiere.
The two blonde stars both took to the red carpet in cool white outfits, albeit in radically different styles.
Gwyneth, who returns in the superhero sequel as Pepper Potts, showed off her legs in a metallic jacquard silk shorts suit by Giorgio Armani.
"I thought, 'It's going to be in California,'" the star told USA Today. "I never think of California being a long gown type of town unless it's the Oscars. And this was made for me."
Meanwhile, looking just as striking, Iron Man franchise newcomer Scarlett Johannson chose an asymmetrical Armani Privé organza lame cocktail dress from the “Moon” collection.
"I wanted to wear something that was fun and maybe a bit of a departure and screamed Iron Man to me. And this was it," she said. "It called to me."
And it wasn't just girls Gwyneth and Scarlett making fashion statements at the event.
Star Robert Downey Jr showed up with his producer wife Susan in a dark blue Lanvin suit matched with blue and red trainers and red-tinted glasses.
And co-star Mickey Rourke, who plays new baddie Ivan Vanko, chose a brown three-piece suit with fake crocodile skin lapels.
Other big names present on the night included fellow Iron Man 2 cast members Samuel L Jackson, Don Cheadle and Sam Rockwell, as well as Oscar-winners Adrien Brody and Sylvester Stallone, who arrived with wife Jennifer Flavin.
The premiere had been hastily relocated from London to Hollywood's El Capitan theatre due to last week's volcanic ash cloud. But that didn't stop a smaller VIP event for the movie going ahead in the British capital on Monday night.
Guests at the UK screening included Slumdog Millionaire star Dev Patel, Katie Price's husband Alex Reid and Boyzone singer Shane Lynch.
