The two leading ladies have bonded while filming Just Go With It with Adam Sandler
One is a striking Australian not especially known for her roles in romantic comedies; the other is a Californian beauty who has become the sweetheart of the genre.
But putting aside any obvious differences they might have, Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston have developed a genuine and warm friendship thanks to their new film, Just Go With It.
Hanging around on the Hawaii set of the movie in-between filming, the two actresses were clearly having a ball together, hugging and laughing as they patiently waited for their next scenes.
It's little wonder Jen and Nicole are having so much fun.
While Nicole – who was born in Hawaii - tends to take on more dramatic roles, her gorgeous co-star reckons she is a natural comedian.
"I don't know why that beautiful woman doesn’t do more comedies," 41-year-old Jennifer recently said. "She is absolutely hilarious.
"She's the easiest person to hang around, and fun and funny."
Not much is known about mum-of-one Nicole's character, Rea Ann Devlin, in the film, but it is thought she plays a good friend of Jennifer's.
Also in the rom-com is funny man Adam Sandler.
Adding to the already tight-knit feel amongst the cast, he has in fact been pals with Jennifer for around 21 years and the pair have been keen to film something together for a long time.
In Just Go With It, Adam stars as a commitment-phobic plastic surgeon romancing a younger woman - played by swimsuit model, and tennis star Andy Roddick's wife, Brooklyn Decker – who lies and tells her he is married with children.
He then enlists the help of his receptionist, Palmer, a single mother played by Jen, who pretends to be his estranged wife.
And by the looks of things, Adam's character ends of falling for Palmer and the pair share a passionate kiss at a beach bar.
