Salma Hayek's daughter Valentina Paloma is a chip off a very gorgeous block

With a playful twinkle in her eye, the two-year-old very much takes after her beautiful mum

Salma Hayek has a serious challenger for her reputation as one of the cutest ladies in Hollywood.

Not that she minds, of course, when the competition comes from her toddler Valentina Paloma. As befits a girl with a Prince song named in her honour, she's a little stunner.

In terms of looks the two-year-old - who accompanied her mum on a work trip to LA this week - is the perfect mix of her father, French millionaire François-Henri Pinault, and the Mexican actress.

The shape of her face owes something to her dad, while the playful eyes are pure Salma.

Another characteristic the little one has inherited from the 43-year-old is a penchant for plain speaking. The Tinseltown beauty began using her married name in her film credits after Valentina expressed surprise on seeing the name 'Hayek' on her chair on set.

"She said, 'What does it say there?'" recalled Salma. "I said, 'Salma Hayek', and she said, 'Where is Pinault?', because her last name is Pinault.

"In France, my husband is much more famous than me, so everybody calls me Madame Pinault, and she’s much more used to that.

"I realized that she felt left out. And, I also have two children that I inherited from his previous marriage. I like it. It just brings the family together."
