The Friends star has opened up on her split from her husband
Nearly three weeks after they announced their trial separation, Courteney Cox has spoken for the first time about her split from David Arquette.
And it seems that divorce is not on the cards for the Hollywood couple.
"I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting divorced," the 46-year-old actress told TV Week.
"This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us."
The Cougar Town star also said that she and her husband of 11 years were no longer on the same page, adding: "Sometimes you just realise 'Wow, we actually have grown apart'."
Since parting ways from David, Courtney has found support in her best friend, Jennifer Aniston, who famously split from her husband Brad Pitt in 2005.
"We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and it's great," she said of their friendship. "It's funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer (who) has gone through it.
"I don’t know what's going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don’t know what's going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure."
And what does the mum-of-one think about David's controversial interview with Howard Stern which aired immediately after their split was announced?
"(David) is a kook. It's not shocking and Howard Stern loves him and I'm a fan of Howard Stern," the understanding actress said.
"David is an entertainer and I'm sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories."
The couple (pictured together in June) are certainly on good terms. At the weekend, they teamed up to take daughter Coco, six, trick or treating.
