The Scottish singer had crowds chanting her name and waving cardboard cut outs of her face as she performed at New York's Rockefeller Center this week.

She was in the Big Apple to perform tracks from her new album The Gift.

The footage of Susan singing Perfect Day and Holy Night, backed by a choir of children, was broadcast live on the Today Show.

In addition the 48-year-old star also sang a duet with the winner of Susan's Search – a worldwide competition that looked for a candidate to perform a duet to appear on her new album.

Susan sang Do You Hear What I Hear with New York-born mother-of-three Amber Stassi.

The Scottish star said she had chosen Amber from the thousands of entries because she has "a lovely, very beautiful voice."

Life is great for Susan at the moment. Her new album helped her make history as one of a few artists who have achieved a number one on both sides of the Atlantic at the same time, twice in one year.
