Glowing and happy: Michael Douglas is picture of health on family hols

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas: A lasting love

It's a picture that will warm his fans' hearts.

With a sparkle in his eye and a huge smile on his face, Michael Douglas looks fitter and healthier than he has done in months.

The actor's glowing appearance came during a family outing with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones and their children Dylan, ten and seven-year-old Carys.

And they couldn't have looked happier as they posed with Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Disney World, Florida.

After months of gruelling treatment for throat cancer Michael seems to be getting his sparkle back.

"I'll beat this. The tumour is shrinking," he said recently.

"The odds are good. I'm not dealing with mortality issues until I hear otherwise."

With Michael looking so good, it's little wonder his father Kirk Douglas is in such great spirits.

The veteran actor looked on top of the world as he dished out Thanksgiving meals to the homeless in downtown LA (pictured below).

While he was there, Kirk told journalists his son is feeling much better lately.

"Michael is very good," said the 93-year-old star.

"He's much stronger now, he's eating and he's feisty. He was talking about doing his next picture which is Liberace."

Kirk was referring to the as-of-yet untitled Liberace film which will retell the life of the gifted pianist Wladziu Valentino Liberace, scheduled for 2012.
