The low-key ceremony on Wednesday night was a stark contrast to the day before in Toronto where streets around the cinema came to a standstill for the 16-year-old’s fans.
Thousands of die-hard Bieber-lovers – dubbed ‘Beliebers’ – had camped overnight to catch a glimpse of the star and even threatened riots when they were denied cinema entry.
The teen sensation’s new movie – released in the UK on February 18 – follows him on his 2010 concert tour and features appearances from stars such as Usher, Miley Cyrus, Sean Kingston and Jaden Smith.
