Lily Allen's vintage inspiration for her baby's name

Lily Allen's mother has let slip a closely guarded secret – the name of her little girl.

The new mum has apparently called her daughter Ethel Mary.

Excited grandmother Alison Owen, a film producer, mentioned the name on Facebook.

 

Then Tamzin Outhwaite said on Twitter: "Absolutely LOVE Lilly allens baby name.ETHEL.gorgeous".

It's not suprising that Lily, the owner of vintage clothing store Lucy in Disguise, went back in time for inspiration.

Since giving birth to her first child with husband Sam Cooper, she's been reticent about sharing details about the newborn.

She has, however, turned into something of a reluctant domestic goddess.

Lily tweeted about how mice have raided her Christmas cheeseboard and talked about finishing the washing up along with the tag 'family not coming for Xmas next year'.
