After a few public appearances in which the strain of having a tiny baby seemed to be showing, Carla Bruni was back on form this week.
Looking refreshed and radiant, the model joined her husband, former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, at a polling station in Paris.
The pair were casting their ballot in the legislative elections – the first round of parliamentary election to elect deputies who will sit in the 577-seat National Assembly or lower house of parliament.
Her blue eyes sparkling, 44-year-old Carla looked fresh faced, and unmistakably happy.
Perhaps she's relishing having more time to spend with her husband after he handed over the reins of power to the new premier François Hollande.
The couple are parents to baby Giulia, who was born last October.
