But Katie Holmes is trying to shelter her daughter Suri from the fall-out as much as possible.The actress treated her little girl to a trip to Central Park Zoo on Wednesday.They were joined by Katie’s mum, Kathleen, for the excursion. And the trio of Holmes girls were clearly in high spirits.
Katie was "smiling and laughing with her little daughter," an eyewitness told US Weekly. "They were so cute."Six-year-old Suri was particularly taken with the penguins, standing on a ledge with her face pressed up to the glass."When a penguin swam up, Suri screamed playfully, and she and Katie laughed," the eyewitness added.Katie looked happy and relaxed in jeans and a pearl studded top for the outing.Besides an initial statement of confirmation, neither she nor Tom have commented about Monday's divorce settlement in which, sources say, she was given primary custody of their daughter.On Tuesday, the 50-year-old Mission Impossible star was spotted on the Californian set of his new film Oblivion, sans wedding ring.
