Cause of death revealed for Sylvester Stallone's son

Nearly two months after his sudden passing, Sage Stallone's cause of death has been revealed.

The Los Angeles County coroner announced on Thursday that Sylvester Stallone's son died from natural causes stemming from a heart condition.

Sage, 36, died in July from a condition that causes blockage of the arteries. No other factors were involved, medical experts confirmed.

The coroner also said that the drug test was negative except for a small, "sub-therapeutic" level of hydrocodone, more commonly known as Vicodin.

Sage was found dead in his home by an employee and a relative on July 13 and laid to rest later that month in Los Angeles at a private funeral only attended by close family and friends.

Sage Moonblood Stallone was the eldest of Rocky star Sylvester's children and co-starred with his father in two films.

After his son's death, Sylvester said, "It's very, very tough. It's a horrible situation, but time hopefully will heal, and you try to get through it."
