Professor Green arrested on suspicion of perverting the court of justice

Professor Green has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the court of justice.

"A 29-year-old man was arrested on Monday 25 November on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice after reporting for bail at a south-east London police station," said a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police.

"He has been bailed to a date in January pending further inquiries."

The rapper, whose real name is Stephen Manderson, called police earlier this month to report a robbery in Lewisham.

The now 30-year-old, who is married to Made in Chelsea star and make-up artist Millie Mackintosh, said that he had been mugged of his Rolex watch.

When police arrived at the scene on Sunday 3 November, however, they found that a Mercedes and a van had been involved in a crash and Professor Green was then arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

The rapper was then taken into custody and later released on bail.

Millie and her musician husband were recently spotted out celebrating Professor Green's 30th birthday, which took place on Wednesday.
