Frankie Sandford's fiancé Wayne Bridge retires from football

Frankie Sandford could be enjoying a lot more family time soon as her fiancé Wayne Bridge has retired from football.

The football player, who had played at Manchester City for four years before being transferred to Championship side Reading, has left the sport due to a knee injury.

He played for England for seven years.

Despite her commitments with The Saturdays, Frankie has been a regular supporter of Wayne’s career.

She retweeted a tweet sent out by Aaron Lincoln, Wayne’s manager, which read: "Wayne bridge, wishing you all the luck in your retirement your life is just beginning, a top player but more importantly a top bloke #ledge"

The Saturdays member Frankie recently posed next to a poster of Wayne, captioning the Instagram shot with: "I had to".

The pair have been together since December 2010 and in October 2013 Frankie gave birth to a little boy, Parker.

The Saturdays recently released their Greatest Hits tour dates and announced an album to go with it, and in a rare appearance, Frankie was seen toting her son around as she and her band did promotional rounds in London.
