Cheryl Cole celebrates 31st birthday with dozens of surprise red roses

Cheryl Cole turned 31 on Monday but it seemed the celebrations started a day early.

Kicking off her birthday in style, the Crazy Stupid Love singer was presented with several bouquets of red roses, most likely by her French boyfriend Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versin who she has been with since May.

"Happy birthday to me!! Such a beautiful night... Thank you for all your well wishes! #310's #stunning #surprise," wrote Cheryl Cole alongside a photo of herself posing up a storm with a cocktail in hand.

The X Factor judge looked sensational as usual, showing off her svelte figure in tight leather trousers, a black top and a chic white blazer. Adding a touch of romance to the setting, Cheryl stood among a path of red petals and was surrounded by soft candlelight.

Cheryl is believed to be celebrating her special day with her French restaurant owner beau and friends including former Girls Aloud bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, as well as X Factor head honcho Simon Cowell.

Taking to Twitter to celebrate Cheryl's special day, Kimberley posted a throwback photo of the Geordie star ringing in her 21st birthday. "Was this really 10 years ago??!!!!! Happy Birthday to my gorgeous friend @CherylCole hope you have a wonderful day," she captioned the snap.
