Tom Fletcher struts his stuff on stage
Born in London in 1985,
Tom Fletcher is a singer, songwriter, vlogger, and children's author. He grew up in Harrow and attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School on a scholarship ā and it was here that Tom would meet his future wife.Growing up, Tom's parents encouraged his love of music and his song writing. In 2000 he auditioned for a new boy band called Busted. Although he was accepted, he was later told he had to leave the band as the manager decided it should be a three-piece. This decision changed Tom's life.
He soon got a job writing songs for Busted, and worked often with band member James Bourne. WATCH MCBUSTED PERFORM TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIMETom soon met Danny Jones after they both auditioned for a pop boy band. The two decided to work together instead, and soon found Dougie Poyntor and Harry Judd through classified adverts.
McFly was born. The band found a fan base after being asked to support Busted on tour, and
in 2004 became the youngest band to ever have a debut album go straight in to the UK charts at number one ā beating a record previously held by The Beatles.Tom has written or helped to write seven of McFly's number one singles, including debut single
Five Colours in Her Hair and three Busted songs. He now writes for One Direction and The Vamps. In 2012 Tom and McFly bandmate Dougie released their first children's book,
The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas. It was so successful that the pair released a sequel,
The Dinosaur That Pooped A Planet in 2013. READ GIOVANNA FLETCHER'S HELLO! BLOG In 2013 McFly and Busted decided to team up to create a super group called McBusted. In an ITV documentary the band revealed how nervous they were about the six-date tour but after it sold out in minutes the tour was soon extended. Tom proposed to his long-term girlfriend Giovanna Falcone in 2011. They married in 2012 and for
his wedding speech Tom reworded several McFly songs and sang a medley for Giovanna. Uploaded on Youtube, the video has had over 13million views and even Russell Crowe has commented on it, calling Tom "one of the richest men in the world".The couple welcomed their first son Buzz Michelangelo in 2014, and Tom continued his adorable video series with a super cute video, titled
From Bump to Buzz.
