Pop star Ariana Grande has tweeted her thanks to social media followers who inundated the singer with messages of love after she revealed her Grandpa had passed away.
"I lost you to the summer wind", the 21-year-old tweeted on Wednesday.
Her fans soon got the hashtag #RIPGrandpaGrande trending.
The former Nickelodean star-turned-pop singer revealed earlier in July that she was flying to Florida where her family live to visit her elderly Grandpa who had taken a turn for the worse.
"love u grandps i need u please pull thru" she tweeted on 5 July.
The 90-year-old had been battling cancer for some years.
The singer's brother, Frankie Grande, is currently starring on the US version of Big Brother.
He reportedly has not been told of his Grandpa's death - as per Grandpa's wishes.
Ariana tweeted: "asked grandps last week if he wanted us to pull frankie off bb & he said "no way! he's gotta play the game even tho i don't understand it"."
