Chris Pine was born in LA to a show business family – his parents, sister and grandparents are all actors.
The handsome actor studied English at Berkley’s College in California and during his time there he spent one year abroad at the University of Leeds in England. After receiving his Bachelors, he studied acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.
Franticly auditioning in California, Chris won guest roles in many TV series. He eventually landed his first feature film debut in 2004 opposite
Anne Hathaway in
The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.
In 2009, the charming Hollywood actor became an international star when he was cast in the
Star Trek franchise. Following his
Star Trek performance, Chris starred in films such as
Unstoppable,
This Means War,
People Like Us and
Star Trek Into Darkness. This year, the hunk also starred as the lead role in
Jack Ryan: Shadow recruit, opposite
Keira Knightley, with whom he developed a close frienship during filming the movie.
Since 2013, Chris has been dating 23-year-old former Miss Reykjavik
Íris Björk Jóhannesdóttir.
