Gordon Ramsay is a British chef and restaurateur who currently holds 14 Michelin stars across his restaurants. Known for his fiery and outspoken attitude, he was born in Scotland and grew up in Stratford-Upon-Avon, before leaving home at 16.

At 18 he had a trial to play football for Rangers, his childhood team, but he smashed cartilage in his knee and a later injury put an end to career in the sport.

Gordon had always had an interest in cooking and at age 19 he enrolled in a local college to study hotel management. He soon found himself working with Marco Pierre White, the youngest chef to ever win Michelin stars, but after nearly three year's Gordon decided to move on.

He worked with Albert Roux, Guy Savoy and Joël Robuchon and by the mid-1990s had returned to work with Marco at Aubergine, which by 1997 had two Michelin stars. However Gordon left in 1998 to finally realise his dream of opening his own restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, which by 2001 had three Michelin stars, making Gordon the first Scottish chef to ever do so.

Gordon's TV appearances began with Masterchef in the mid-1990s but in 2004 he took on his first full show, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. It ran for five seasons, and in that time Gordon also hosted Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, and The F Word.

Gordon married Tana Ramsay in 1996, and the pair have four children, Megan, Matilda, and twins Jack and Holly.

Gordon and Tana are close friends with David and Victoria Beckham, and Gordon is known for his charity work, including the completion of his goal to run ten marathons in ten years, and his continued support of SoccerAid.
